“We know that God
loves you, dear brothers and sister, and that He
chose you to be his own people. For when we brought
you the gospel, it was not only with words but also
with power . . .” (1 Thessalonias 1:4-5) NLT
Are you a believer?
If so, are you ready to step into a new dimension? .
. . Consider it because you have been chosen by God.
Apostle Paul wrote a
letter to the church at Thessalonica thanking
members for their faith and work as well as words of
encouragement on how to live with a complete trust
in God and to reassure them that Christ would
return.
In this letter he
told them that they had received a gospel of words
and power. They actually had received a message that
assured them of eternal life and power available to
anyone who would come to Jesus through faith in the
good news (gospel).
“I am not ashamed of
the gospel because it is the power of God for the
salvation of everyone who believes: first fo the
Jew, then for the gentile.” (Romans 1:16) NIV
Considering that
you are a believer, who has confessed Christ as Lord
and Savior, you have received the same gospel of
words and power as the early church of Thessalonica.
If so, then you have received salvation and power as
it is written in 1 Thess 1:5 and Romans 1:16.
Salvation is the
same as eternal life, meaning that even if you die
before, you will raise again when Jesus returns. Not
all men will die before His return. (John
11:25-26/1 Thess 4:14-15)
But what about
power? Which power did you receive through the
Gospel of Jesus? That is an important question. All
believers should know the answer for it is a power
available to anyone who is in Christ and yet many
believers in Christ don’t take a hold of it. It is
time for you to appropriate the power, authority and
victory which has been given to you by the Gospel of
Jesus Christ.
Before I tell you
about the power that belongs to you as a believer, I
will tell you why the gospel is not only of words
but is also is filled with great and mighty power.
“So the word become flesh and made His dwelling
among us . . .” (John 1:14) NIV
The Holy Scriptures
let us know that Jesus, the Son of God, was made
flesh and lived for a time among us as man and yet
God. (John 1:1-18) reveals to us Jesus as the
incarnated word of God walking on earth. Can you see
and realize why the word of God is so powerful?
Well, it is just because Jesus is the word.
That explains the
scriptures that say: “For you have exalted above all
things your name and your word.” Psalm 132:2
(NIV)
“Heaven and earth
will pass away, but my Words will never pass away.”
Matthew 24:35 (NIV)
Do you know that
even when I was born again, I could at first not see
the truth in these versus? But now as my eyes have
been opened to the truth, I realize that the gospel,
the New Testament, and the whole word of God once
upon a time was Jesus manifested in flesh. That is
why the gospel is power and that power is Jesus
Himself, whom today abides in you through His
spirit. (John 1:14; 14:15-20)
The Gospel of Jesus,
besides giving you power unto salvation, gives the
power for living a life of victory over all things.
In the very moment you accepted Jesus, His power was
transferred to you by His grace through the Holy
Spirit that now dwells in you.
“Don’t you know that
you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in
you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16) NIV
While men of all
parts of the world are fighting for power and
dominion, believers possess the greatest power right
in their hearts; and yet, many of them don’t attain
it. God wants to manifest His power, glory and life
through your life, and that is for now on your
earthly life for in heaven, you will not need it
because there all things will be perfect unto God.
2 Corinthians 5:20
says that we are the ambassadors of Christ meaning
that you and I are to represent Jesus on earth. As
the vessel of God, we are supposed to carry on the
works of Jesus such as: healing the sick,
resurrecting the dead, giving hope to the hopeless,
and much more.
For Jesus Himself
said: “I tell you the truth; anyone who has faith in
me will do what I have been doing. He will do even
greater things than these because I am going to the
Father. And I will do whatever you asking in my
name, so that the son my bring glory to the Father.
You may ask for anything in my name, and I will do
it. John 14:12-14 (NIV)
Thank God Jesus
didn’t say that only to the apostles or disciples of
His time, but He said it to anyone who had faith in
Him. So it is for us, believers, that Jesus promised
to do whatever we ask in His name. You and I are the
ones whom He said that could do greater things than
those done by Him, and this is possible for two
reasons:
First: He is with
the Father interceding for you and me. That’s why we
must come before the Father asking in His name for
He is the only way. (John 14:13/John 14:6)
Second: Because
of the power that works in us comes from His Holy
Spirit, who is able to do all things through us He
is the Spirit of God.
In order for you to
quote the scripture: “I can do everything through
Him who gives me strength (Phil 4:13) and
really step out there and do greater things than
those done by Christ, you must grow spiritually.
The time is for you
to grow in the realm of the Spirit. The time has
come for you not to be conformed with your position
in Christ nor to be conformed by changing only from
level to level. God wants to take you to a new
dimension in which you will be set in a position to
display His glory and to perform greater works than
Jesus did.
— Stepping into a
New Realm
A Realm of Power,
Authority and Victory —
“One day Jesus said
to His disciples, ‘Let’s go over to the other side
of the Lake. So they got into a boat and set out.”
Luke 8:32 (NIV)
I believe you have
about this famous bible passage before: Jesus calms
the storm.” (Luke 22-25)
I would like to ask
you to read it for I will just run through it.
These scriptures
tell us when the disciples and Jesus were sailing
from one side of the lake to the other, an
unexpected storm rose against them, and the
disciples feared for their lives. But when Jesus,
who was asleep, was awakened by their disturbance,
rebuked the wind and raging waters, and the storm
subsided.
Today, as He told
the disciples, He is telling you and me: “Let’s go
over to the other side.” (Luke 8:32)
The time has come
for the Body of Christ to walk as the sons and
daughters of the Most High God, who has paid a high
price for us to live in this present life as kings
and priests. “And from Jesus Christ, the faith
witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler
over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and
washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has
made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to
Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever.
Amen.” Revelation 1:5-6 (NKJV)
You are to be
walking and living as a king on this earth.
Romans 5:17 says that the grace of God by the
person of Christ give us the ability to reign in
this life as kings. Picture yourself as a king. How
would a king be living on this earth?
A king in our
physical world wouldn’t lack anything. In fact, a
king or a queen would have money, and I mean plenty
of money; the best of what money could buy; they
would have the best of what technology, science and
medicine could offer; they wouldn’t lose one night
of their sleep because they know they would be
secure and safe by their centurions and army.
I have given you a
few examples of how it is or would be to live a life
of a king, and the bible says that you are to be
living as a king through the power and grace of
Jesus Christ who operates in you by His Holy Spirit.
Now after you have
imagined yourself as a king and know that God made
it possible for you to be one, I ask: are you living
in this life as a king, heir of the Throne of God?
Galatians 4:7
To those who are not
walking in this life with their heads up, in
abundance of everything such as health and money,
peace and joy, I want you to know that it is time to
move into a new dimension. As Jesus said, “Let’s go
over to the other side.” But before you receive
immeasurable power to become a mighty kind for God,
you will be tested.
In the natural
realm, a natural king only gives his sons the
ability and power to use and enjoy of all things in
his kingdom after he becomes a mature man. Only then
will his father trust in his judgments to manage all
the riches and business of the kingdom.
Well, our heavenly
Father is not different. You will be tested and
proved before He can trust to you all the riches,
authority and power. God wants to use you as a
vessel whom He will bless as well as use to bless
others. But before He needs to see with how much He
can entrust your hand.
A certain level of
power has been given you at the moment you accepted
Christ for He said, “Go into all the world and
preach the good news to all creation.
“And these signs
will accompany those who believe: in my name they
will drive out demons; they will speak in new
tongues; they pick up snakes with their hands; and
when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them
at all; they will place their hands on isck people,
and they will get well.” Mark 16: 15, 17-18
(NIV)
You have been given
power and authority as a believer to preach the
gospel, cast out demons and heal the sick.
The power given to
you is the authority of the nature of Jesus. Jesus
gave you a power of attorney to use His name to
perform all the work He commanded you do, such as
healing.
My question to you
is: Have you been using this power that you received
when you got saved? If not, how do you expect God to
bestow upon you more power when you are taking for
granted the one He has already given to you?
Many believers are
asking God for power or more power and God is
telling them: start using the power that has been
given to you and then once you are reliable, I will
increase My power over you.
The point I am
trying to make is the following: apply the power and
authority that Jesus has already blessed you with
and then more will come. Remember, you are supposed
to do greater things than He did. John 14:12
As a king, start
taking dominion over the powers of darkness to set
free many lives in bondage, exercise your power
through the name of Jesus to pray for the sick and
get them healed, and preach the gospel of salvation
to the lost. For this you don’t need any extra
power, but all you need is your faith in Jesus’
name. Because it is Jesus and His Holy Spirit who
will get the job done. AS far you, all you need is
to be obedient to the command of Jesus and step out
there by faith and do it. The rest, don’t worry; the
Holy Spirit in you will lead you through.
Do you remember I
told you that a test would be required of you before
you receive an immeasurable level of power? Well,
the first test is to act on faith and by applying
your faith in the power that you’ve already got,
then God who rewards the faithful and obedient will
honor you in all things to come; more power, more
blessing and glory.
Using the same story
of Luke 8:22, I want you to notice something. When
Jesus told the disciples, “Let us go over to the
other side. . .” they all agreed and jumped into the
boat and sailed out toward the other side. But they
weren’t aware of the storm that would raise during
their journey: “on the way across, Jesus lay down
for a nap, and while He was sleeping , the wind
began to rise a fierce storm developed that
threatened to swamp them, and they were in real
danger.” Luke 8:23 (NLT)
I believe when Jesus
invited them to cross to the other side, the lake
was calm and the weather favorable; everything at
the beginning probably was nice and easy. But in the
middle of their journey was when everything changed
so quickly and a fierce storm threatened their
lives. For a moment, due to desperation and lack of
faith, they forgot that Jesus, the son of god, was
in the midst of them. When you feel threatened,
remember He is in control.
Regardless of how
mature or immature a Christian is, storms will come.
Maybe you are facing one now or perhaps yours has
already passed, buy what I want you to know is that
storms, trials, tests and tribulations come and go
and the conditions of how you are going to come out
of it depends on you.
A Christian walk is
not always easy, but every time you are hit by any
kind of tribulation you should be able to release
your faith on God’s invincible word and use it
against the situation. In the same way that Jesus
rebuked the storm, you also can look into the eyes
of your situation and rebuke. You’ve got the power
of Jesus in you.
“Because the one who
is in you is greater than the one who is in the
world. We know that we live in Him and He is in us
because He has given us of His Spirit. 1 John
4:4, 13 (NIV)
The best time to
walk the talk, I mean, to apply the faith you say
you have in God’s word is during the storms of life.
It is at this moment that the power of God will be
released through His spirit in you to set you above
the trials and tribulations of life. That is a new
dimension.
As soon as you take
God at His word and use it against the circumstances
in your life, an immeasurable level of power will
dominate you and definitely you will be taken into a
new dimension. For it is only when you believe with
now shadow of a doubt in what God’s word says that
you will be able to see, live and act as a king,
always as a conqueror, for the bible says: “But
thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal
procession in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 2:13)
1 John 4:13
says that Christ is in you and you are in Him and
1 Corinthians 6:19 also declares that you being
born again have united yourself with the Lord
therefore you are one with him. As both scriptures
are true, all the things needed for you to live and
walk as king as been already done by Jesus, for He
is king for ever more and He brought you unto Him
through the cross so all that’s left for you to do
is see, live and act upon God’s word.
“And we pray this in
order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord
and may please Hin in every way: bearing fruit in
every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.
Being strengthened
with all power according to His glorious might so
that you may have great endurance and patience and
joyfully giving thanks to the Father who has
qualified you to share in the inheritance of the
saints in the kingdom of Light.
For He has rescued
us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into
the kingdom of the sons he loves.” Colossians
1:10-13 (NIV)
ee yourself through
the scriptures above. Let them take residence in
your heart because if you only keep it in your mind,
you will not reap the benefits of it. God Himself
has qualified you to inherit all the blessings,
power and glory through His son, Jesus Christ.
Moving into a new
dimension depends on you. Jesus has already set for
you all you will ever need to live as a king, an
heir of all promises. All that is needed is faith
and willingness to appropriate the truth of God’s
words. Moving into a new dimension requires you to
get rid of reality and step into the truth.
For reality says you
are sick, but the truth says that by Jesus’ stripes
you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 For reality
says that you are broke, but the truth days that God
will meet all you needs. Phil. 4:19
You step into a new
dimension in the moment that you truly accept by
faith and act on everything that is written in God’s
word. Because when you believe, you also do and the
doers of the word are the ones who receive. You are
a king, so see and act as one. Remember, it is not
about you; it is about Him who lives in you. God
bless you!
